Valeting at a garage makes a particular kind of sense: the car is already with us for an MOT or service, the keys are already on the board, and the hour the paperwork takes is exactly the hour a wash and vac needs. Add an express valet to any booking and the car comes back finished as well as fixed — usually adding nothing to the time it's with us.

The work is done by hand, because conveyor washes and rotating brushes are how swirl marks happen. Two-bucket wash, proper wheel brushes for the inside of the spokes, microfibre drying, vacuuming to the seat rails, plastics and glass done properly — the basics executed carefully rather than gimmicks executed quickly.

The standalone bookings we take are mostly pre-sale preparation, and that's the valet we'd steer you towards if you're selling: private buyers around Molesey, Esher and Walton pay visibly more for a car that presents well, and a £150 preparation valet alongside a fresh MOT and a stamped service history routinely moves the sale price by several times its cost.

Which valet package do you need?

For a car in regular use, the £20 express wash and vac with any MOT or service keeps things civilised. For a family car that's absorbed a year of school runs, the £55 interior valet is the reset button. Selling? The £150 pre-sale preparation is the one that earns its fee back.

The full valet at £95 sits between: complete interior plus a hand wash, wheels, tar-spot removal and a wax finish — the right call twice a year, or before the in-laws borrow the car. None of the packages uses a brush conveyor, and all of them are done by the same hands each time at the West Molesey workshop.

If you're unsure, tell us what the car is for and what it's been through; we'll tell you honestly which package fits — including when the cheaper one is enough.

Why a pre-sale valet is the cheapest detailing money you'll spend

Buyers decide in the first minute, on the driveway, before the test drive — and a clean, fresh-smelling, well-presented car reads as a maintained car. The pre-sale preparation valet exists for exactly that minute: interior deep-cleaned, paint washed and waxed, wheels and tyres dressed, engine bay tidied.

The arithmetic is the persuasive part. On a typical private sale around East Molesey or Hampton Court, presentation differences of several hundred pounds in achieved price are completely normal — against a £150 valet. Pair it with what only a garage can add: a fresh 12-month MOT, a stamped service and the printed history that lets a buyer stop negotiating on fear.

We'll do all three in one visit and hand back a car that's genuinely ready to photograph for the listing the same afternoon.

FAQ

Car Valeting — your questions, answered

Can I add a valet to my MOT or service booking?+
Yes — that's the most popular way to use it. Mention it when booking and the car is cleaned while the paperwork is finished, so the valet adds little or nothing to the time the car is with us.
Is it a hand wash?+
Yes. Two-bucket hand wash, proper wheel brushes, microfibre drying — no brush conveyor, no scratch-happy rollers.
Do you do pre-sale valets?+
Yes, and it's some of the best money you can spend before selling: a £150 preparation valet routinely adds several times that to what a private buyer will pay. Combine it with a fresh MOT and a stamped service and the car sells itself.
How long does a valet take?+
The express wash and vac fits inside the time an MOT or service already takes, so it usually adds nothing. An interior valet needs around 90 minutes, a full valet two to three hours, and the pre-sale preparation most of a day. We give you an exact handback time when you book, and local collection and delivery is available if you'd rather not make two trips.
Do you valet vans and motorhomes?+
Yes — working vans before lease return or sale, and motorhomes after a season's use. Both are quoted individually because size and condition vary so much; send a couple of photos by WhatsApp and we'll price it the same day.
